This is going to be a different kind of Budget Briefing, because we're going to feature a very powerful organization that has demonstrated its ability to influence the budget process from the outside, the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization (GBIO).
You will hear from:
· Alliea Groupp: GBIO Strategy Team Member, Old South Church Lay Leader, and professional organizer
· Lisa Vinikoor: GBIO Organizer, with previous experience working on the ACT! Coalition and teaching fourth grade
The goal of this special Outsider-Insider Budget Briefing is to show you how you can build your organization's power by organizing and mobilizing your board, staff, client families, allies, and friends.
Noah Berger from the Mass Budget and Policy Center (MBPC) will help you to interpret the House Ways and Means Budget that is expected to be released on April 16.
You will also find the materials we distribute helpful! Besides the Budget Punch lists, we will have a freshly printed second edition of the Real Clout Book and Real Clout Workbook available at cost. The tuition for each session is $20 and includes a light supper and take-home materials.
Please contact Harmony Blakeway at (617) 275-2883 or harmony@realclout.org to RSVP for this event, or to sign up for our mailing list!
